Privacy Policy

Last updated: 26 July 2026 · How we collect, use, and protect your information.

1. Introduction

This Privacy Policy explains how PayFyre Ltd. ("PayFyre", "we", "us") collects, uses, shares, and protects your personal information when you use the PayFyre application and payment services. As a cashless payment provider, safeguarding your financial data is central to how we operate.

By using PayFyre, you consent to the practices described in this policy. We handle your information in accordance with the data protection laws of Trinidad & Tobago.

2. Information We Collect

Account information: your name, phone number, email address, date of birth, and — where you complete identity verification — government-issued ID and proof of address.

Transaction information: details of payments, transfers, deposits, and withdrawals you make, including amounts, recipients, merchants, and timestamps.

Device and usage information: device identifiers, IP address, app version, and how you interact with the Service, collected to keep your account secure and improve the product.

3. How We Use Your Information

We use your information to provide and operate the Service, process transactions, verify your identity, prevent fraud, comply with legal obligations, and communicate with you about your account.

We may use aggregated, de-identified data to understand usage trends and improve our features. We do not use the content of your transactions for advertising.

4. How We Share Information

We share information with service providers who help us operate the Service (such as identity-verification, card-processing, and cloud-hosting partners), strictly under contractual confidentiality obligations.

We may disclose information to regulators, law enforcement, or other authorities where required by law, or to protect the rights, safety, and security of PayFyre and its users. We never sell your personal information.

5. Data Security

We protect your data with 256-bit encryption in transit and at rest, PIN and biometric authentication, and continuous fraud monitoring. Access to personal data within PayFyre is limited to staff who need it to perform their roles.

While no system can be guaranteed perfectly secure, we maintain safeguards designed to meet or exceed industry payment-security standards.

6. Data Retention

We retain your personal and transaction information for as long as your account is active and for a period afterward as required to meet legal, regulatory, tax, and anti-money-laundering obligations. When data is no longer required, we securely delete or anonymize it.

7. Your Rights

You have the right to access the personal information we hold about you, request corrections, and ask us to delete data that we are not legally required to keep. You may also object to or restrict certain processing.

To exercise these rights, contact our Data Protection team. We may need to verify your identity before acting on a request.

8. Cookies & Tracking

Our website uses cookies and similar technologies to keep you signed in, remember preferences, and understand site usage. You can control cookies through your browser settings, though disabling them may affect site functionality.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be communicated through the app or by email, and the "Last updated" date above will reflect the latest revision. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.
